Heather L. Carpenter, PhD, is an associate professor in the Business and Economics Department at Notre Dame of Maryland University. She teaches graduate and undergraduate business and nonprofit courses. She is the coauthor of The Talent Development Platform: Putting People First in Social Change Organizations book, and coeditor of Teaching Nonprofit Management. She publishes articles on the topics of talent management, nonprofit technology, social media, experiential education, service-learning, nonprofit management education, and nonprofit leadership. She serves on the board of directors of the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council.
