Heather Mair is an Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Waterloo.
She earned a PhD in rural planning and development at the University of Guelph.
Her research interests include critical approaches to the study of leisure, sport, and tourism research.
Mair is also interested in investigations of the roles leisure, sport, and tourism can play in community development, empowerment, and well-being.
Her leisure includes watching curling and playing with her daughter, dog, and two cats.
