Julia Ann Hypes

Julia Ann Hypes is an associate professor in the School of Business Administration in the College of Business and Public Affairs at Morehead State University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in sport management.

Hypes has held positions as a sports information director and an administrative assistant for athletic facilities, game operations, and budgeting. She serves as the coordinator for the undergraduate internships and as the sport management assessment coordinator.  She has presented at state, regional, national, and international levels.

She earned a bachelor of science in mass communications from Middle Tennessee State University, a master of sport science from the U.S. Sports Academy, and a PhD in curriculum and instruction from Indiana State University. Hypes also served as president of the American Association for Physical Activity and Recreation (AAPAR) for 2010-2012.
