American Therapeutic Recreation Association and Sagamore-Venture Enter Into a Partnership

The American Therapeutic Recreation (ATRA) and Sagamore-Venture are delighted to announce a partnership between their organizations. The partnership formally brings together two organizations with the same goal: to serve the field of recreational therapy. The partnership will generate many benefits for ATRA members, including the following:

  • Sagamore-Venture will offer a 50% discount to ATRA individual members on the Therapeutic Recreation Journal (TRJ). An individual electronic subscription will cost just $40.00 per year and a print subscription just $50 per year.
  • Sagamore-Venture will offer ATRA members an extra 20% off the lowest price listed on Sagamore-Venture's website for all products, including electronic products. As an added benefit, ATRA will receive a royalty on all members' purchases.
  • ATRA and Sagamore-Venture will list each other as partners and provide a link on each other's websites and in other appropriate promotional materials.
  • Sagamore-Venture will include the ATRA Annual as a special issue of TRJ and still have the Annual available to all ATRA members online free of charge, by creating a password for ATRA members.
  • Sagamore-Venture will provide ATRA members with a complimentary individual electronic subscription to PALAESTRA: Adapted Sport, Physical Education, and Recreational Therapy, by creating a password for ATRA members.
  • Sagamore-Venture will provide complimentary access to all TRJ issues for ninety (90) days, starting September 1, 2017, by providing a password to ATRA members so that they may access the TRJ issues on the Sagamore website.

These organizations anticipate many more benefits as their partnership grows.

"The ATRA Board of Directors is very excited and proud to have this opportunity to work with Sagamore-Venture. This partnership will allow us to continue to publish the exceptional work and research that our recreational therapy professionals provide to advance the profession."

- Marilyn Radatz, ATRA Past-President

"Everyone at Sagamore-Venture is thrilled to be working together with ATRA. The RT/TR field has always been an important area of publishing personally and for our company and one that we have worked hard to serve. We look forward to serving the needs of the field for many years to come."
