Designing and Implementing Effective Adapted Physical Education Programs assists adapted and general physical educators in meeting the physical and motor needs of all their students in physical education. Through collaboration, long-range planning, and continuous communication between all parties who work with students, physical educators can use the methods and procedures presented in this book to help students achieve their potential and the benefits of physical education.

The author has taught at the higher education level and also has 34 years of experience teaching adapted physical education, training teachers, and working with public schools on evaluating and revising their curricula to accommodate the needs of all students in physical education. He has also served in professional organizations such as the National Consortium for Physical Education and Recreation for Individuals With Disabilities and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
