The first part of Israeli Life and Leisure in the 21st Century provides an overview for readers to become oriented to life in Israel today, leisure education, challenges, and changes that have taken place.

Part 2 looks at the unique and innovative aspects of leisure in Israel. Highlighting specific leisure activities and events, the 18 chapters in this section takes the reader on a journey of discovery as life and leisure are explored.

The third part titled Promoting Peace Through Recreational Programs provides eight chapters that explore various programs and activities that are offered in Israel that promote peace. 

Diversity in Leisure in Israel, part four of the book, looks at various groups including populations such as special needs, immigrants, gay and lesbian, the aging, Ultra-Orthodox, and the Arab Sector.   

Leisure service provision in Israel is the focus of the fifth section. Chapters are devoted to national parks and nature reserves, sustainability, municipal leisure services, and more.

Part 6 looks at current research. Eleven chapters present research on topics including happiness, extreme sports, family vacations, and multicultural perspectives.
